Public services

Value for money, modernised public services, public choice, sustainable change, safety and security; these are all watchwords for today’s Government organisations. CITI has been supporting local and central public service organisations for over 20 years and is proud to be helping to make these important initiatives and guiding principles a reality. We work with organisations such as the Home Office, GCHQ, DWP, HMGCC, MOD, Met Office, The Bank of England, NAA, police forces such as the Metropolitan Police Force, and local authorities and borough councils throughout the UK.

Over the years we have supported many exciting initiatives such as MM2010, the former IND’s (now the BIA) managed migration programme which saw, among other benefits, the successful introduction of e-borders and the points system, helping to ensure that the UK attracts and retains the right skills to maintain a strong economy and capable workforce. We worked with the programme board to structure that programme, ensuring the sequencing of the constituent projects optimised the interdependency management requirements of a complex and wide portfolio, and that the planned benefits, were achievable, and achieved.

UK public service organisations have long recognised the need for professional programme and project management, indeed the Professional Skills for Government framework lists programme and project management as one of four key skills sets required to attain Grade 7. And we are proud to be an important part of ensuring that that capability is in place through professional development as well as helping to shape and deliver the key programmes and projects that deliver an important and evolving agenda of change.
