What do I have to do?

Consider a project you were involved with that could be viewed as complex.
OR
Consider a project where a critical action or decision made the difference between success and failure on the project.

  1. What was the challenge?
  2. How would failure at this point have negatively affected the outcome of the project?
  3. What decisions were made? What actions were taken?
  4. What impact did these decisions/actions have upon the project?
  5. Why did they work? (What worked well?)
  6. What do you think is the key learning point?
  7. How do you use the insights from this in the way you manage projects today?
What will we do?

We will prepare a blog of your success story and send it to you for comment and approval. After that, we will share it more widely.

Success Stories Shared is a consortium of CITI, PiCubed and VirtualProjectConsulting. At the 2010 PMSA Conference in Johannesburg. David Pells, Editor of PM World Journal, suggested that a mechanism should be implemented to capture the experience, knowledge and wisdom of aging and retired project managers and professional leaders. This was the call needed to inspire Louise Worsley of PiCubed and Linky van der Merwe of Virtual Project Consulting to start the Success Stories Shared working group.
