Project courses overview
Our courses for the project community are tailored for three different audiences: project experts who are required to manage projects that are seen as major or complex; project practitioners who are or need to manage a single-domain project, such as an IT development, a marketing campaign, or the fabrication of a wind farm; and non-project managers, such as work package managers or business managers, who need to understand the dependencies project managers have on them as subject matter experts, to ensure project success.
Beyond method development programmes
-
Running business projects
As a result of the workshop, participants are confident that they can plan their project and task people to get the job done. They know which techniques work best and what they need to do to deliver to time, to cost and to the standard required.
-
Making projects work
Aimed at developing project managers, this workshop will provide you with a set of techniques and tools to plan and run projects successfully. Highly action-orientated, the workshop uses real case studies to broaden your bandwidth of experiences. Group work and discussions ensure that you are involved in management decision making and presentations to senior management.
-
Managing complex projects
This course is for those project managers who need the additional disciplines required to manage complex or cross functional projects. You will have a good understanding of core project management techniques such as planning, estimating and initiation and now need to focus more on the politics of projects such as stakeholder engagement and understanding the business problem.
-
Creating valuable project and programme support offices
This course describes best practice, focusing on what makes a support office successful and how to drive up its value. Distinguishing between project and programme support offices, identifying the different expectations, tools, techniques and roles they play, will also be part of your curriculum.
