Corporate portfolio management

This course enables you to organise and structure portfolios of projects using strategies that will maximise their value within the organisational constraints of resources and risk tolerance.

You will learn practical techniques for clearly assessing the desirability of the portfolio and for managing its 'do ability'.

The constraints of time, cost and effort, which force selection, sequencing and prioritisation, are discussed. You will gain an in-depth understanding of the portfolio management process and how to select, prioritise, initiate and monitor projects within the portfolio, whilst also addressing the need to maintain a balanced portfolio by allocating and tracking scarce resources.

Defining the process of portfolio management and discussing the areas critical to its successful execution, allows you to explore the associated complexities and clarify your understanding of the portfolio management role within your organisation.

Who is it for?

Are you responsible for a project portfolio? Are you about to move into the role of a portfolio manager? Do you work in support of portfolios, for example in a project office? If you have answered yes to any of these questions – this master class is for you!
