Corporate portfolio management

Are you responsible for a project portfolio? Are you about to move into the role of a portfolio manager? Do you work in support of portfolios, for example in a project office? If you have answered yes to any of these questions – this master class is for you.

What are the course objectives?

You will learn to organise and structure portfolios of projects using strategies that maximise their value within the organisational constraints of resources and risk tolerance.

You will be introduced to practical tools and techniques for prioritising and sequencing projects within portfolios.

You will learn to understand your role and responsibilities as well as those of others involved in the management of portfolios.

What content is covered?

This course provides practical techniques for clearly assessing the desirability of the portfolio and for managing its ‘do-ability’. The constraints of time, cost and effort which force selection, sequencing and prioritisation are discussed.

It also addresses the need to maintain a balanced portfolio while tracking and allocating scarce resources.
