Dates: 02 March 2006
Venue: Coutts & Co, London
At the sixth meeting of CITI’s Centres of Excellence Club, held at Coutts & Co, the topic for the day was governance.
Corporate governance involves a set of relationships between a company’s management, its board, its shareholders and other stakeholders.
Corporate governance also provides the structure through which the objectives of the company are set, and the means of attaining those objectives and monitoring performance are determined.
Thomas Docker of CITI set the scene and posed a few questions for club members to consider. Tony
John Hemingway discussed the issues facing Sheffield Hallam University, and how they have achieved success in that area.
Tom Docker shared CITI’s view of governance scope and application (presentation attached).
A number of exercises and workshops explored this topic. Access to all presentations, workshop outputs and papers are available to CofEe Club members via the online Linkedin forum.
