Expertise in programme management
As a programme manager you will probably have found that your employer’s approach to programme management is far less consistent and developed than is the case for projects - you are not alone.
CITI’s consultants are experienced in helping programme managers to establish and structure their programmes, advising on governance models and assisting in identifying the individual development needs of programme staff.
By measuring against an established framework developed by CITI of key performance areas, the robustness of any programme’s approach can be validated. Allowing improvement areas to be identified and addressed to the benefit of both the programme manager and the client organisation.
We know from the programme profiling and the programme health checks we have undertaken that the improvement areas which are most often identified for programme managers include the ability of the programme manager to effectively translate the vision for the programme into a deliverable programme plan.
This structuring phase of the programme and the way the programme manager moves from structuring to management of the programme forms the basis for whether the programme is successful. This is the focus of our core development programme, delivering strategic programmes.
Management of the programme in isolation isn't sufficient without ensuring that the stakeholders are engaged throughout the programme lifecycle, including any external contractors and suppliers working into the programme. Once the programme begins delivery it is then essential that effective change management is employed to embed the changes into the business, ensuring real change.
