The APM Practitioner is for project managers, project co-ordinators and team leaders with three to five years experience in managing non-complex projects, or those who have completed a CITI course to at least the CITI project practitioner (Making Projects Work) level.
What are the course objectives?
To gain a professional qualification that demonstrates your ability to manage non-complex projects or assist in managing complex projects. This qualification demonstrates your ability to apply your knowledge and experience to successfully deliver the objective of a project.
Structure
You will be expected to write answers to questions based on a given case study and answer a question about current issues in project management. You will also be expected to participate in problem solving activities related to a project case study and fianlly you will be individually interviewed by an assessor.
What is the course format?
You will be assessed in terms of your ability to apply knowledge and experience against 30 criteria through the project lifecycle. Assessors collect evidence of your project management capabilities through group activities, exercises and through a written examination. You will be observed discussing and solving problems relating to the project case study, and will also be interviewed by your assessors during the assessment period.
What is the duration and cost of the course?
2 and a half days (residential is recommended)
