2009 CofEe Club - Obtaining the best management resource

The sixteenth meeting of CITI’s Centres of Excellence Club was hosted by BAE Systems at their Farnborough Aerospace Centre on 4th June 2009.

The topic for the meeting was obtaining the best management resource.

Thomas Docker of CITI set the scene followed by BAE Systems Head of Projects Corporate Responsibility who provided an overview of BAE Systems, including its corporate Project Management Council.

BAE Systems provided our first case study on Mission Success, how BAE Systems was matching PM capability to need. 

RWEnpower's Head of Onshore Projects then discussed evidence from his organisation of project management capability. This included interesting insight into how two seemingly similar projects had radically different outcomes, simply due to one of the projects having the ‘wrong’ project manager.

Interactive discussions and group workshop exercises took place to explore the topic.  Access to all presentations, workshop outputs and papers are available to CofEe Club members via the online forum.
