2008 CofEe Club - PMO

The fourteenth meeting of CITI’s Centres of Excellence Club was hosted by Ian Potter of John Lewis Partnership at their office in London on 27th November 2008.

The topic for the meeting was PMOs.

Thomas Docker of CITI set the scene followed by John Lewis Head of Project Services, who provided information on our kind hosts and on the history of the John Lewis Partnership, their current financial performance and also his challenge to set up a Project Services team within the organisation.

Chris Hobson (CITI) gave a scene-setting talk and ran a workshop on PMO categorisation.

Simon Marshall (Severn Trent Laboratories) presented on how they set up their PMO and how it is now being managed.

Following on from their success at the APM Awards, Michele Chopra, Eurostar, gave some insight into how their PMO supported the High Speed 1 programme.

A number of exercises and workshops explored this topic. Access to all presentations, workshop outputs and papers are available to CofEe Club members via the online Linkedin forum.
