You will be introduced to models that have been successfully applied across hundreds of complex projects.

Knowledge and understanding is developed through analysis of projects and programmes that have been executed and reviewed by expert peers and judged by history. Engagement in practical activities is used to create accelerated experiences; this is followed by a rigorous de-briefing that analyses the factors impacting the decision processes and implementation, introducing a reflective approach leading to self-appraisal of performance.

Participants acquire and develop the ability to:

  • Identify and analyse differing perceptions of a situation
  • accept complexity and uncertainty and act effectively under these conditions
  • critically review their personal performance in discharging their responsibilities
  • apply appropriate tools and techniques to achieve the outcomes required of them when acting as a project or programme manager
  • transfer strategies, policies and techniques from other domains successfully into the project and programme context, where they offer insights and solutions to intractable problems
  • network with their peers and other managers to broaden their understanding and value
  • coach and 'bring on' colleagues and potential project and programme managers.

The contact-based units are held at designated conference centres, which may be different for different groups. Please contact postgraduatestudies@citi.co.uk for details.

Anyone completing this course will come out a better project manager and will have more confidence in project success.
